I decided to go into the massage field because I wanted to help people, and find a way to make a positive impact in my community. I have been a practicing licensed massage & bodywork therapist since October 2002. I am a graduate of the Blue Ridge Healing Arts Academy's Massage Program. I obtained my national certification after beginning my massage practice and maintain that certification today. I have continued my educational expansion into Occupational Therapy and completed an Associates degree at Cabarrus College of Health Sciences. I specialize in pediatrics treating children of all ages in the OT field and continue to work towards a masters degree in the field.

I am a true generalist and feel comfortable treating pateints from all walks of life. I am knowledgeable about many physiological conditions and work with my patients to get the results they want. I enjoy doing deep tissue work and incorporating all modalities I have learned over the years into my sessions. I have attended Myofascial Realease training with John Barnes and learned to treat through the fascial system, this "highly effective approach" has changed many of my patients lives and mine.

I have exstensive expierence with expecting mothers and children. I am a certified infant massage instructor and have certifications in prenatal massage. Massage is a wonderful way to provide relief for the moms to be and a great way for mothers and fathers to bond with the child once they arrive.

I have experience working with pro, olympic, college, and HS athletes to improve performance and the healing process. However, we at Essential Kneads work with people of all backgrounds and occupations. It is my goal to give each client a unique massage tailored to your body and its "kneads".
