Rebecca A. Scott, LMBT, CD(DONA), CPhT

Unfortunately due to health reasons, I am very limited to the amount of work I am able to perform. For this reason I am no longer accepting new clients. We have three awesome therapists, Becky Barrier, Beth Canipe and Karma Williamson, who are highly skilled and I am certain can provide you with an exceptional therapeutic massage. I am very open about my health and welcome any questions. I believe we are all here to serve as resources to help guide one another through difficult times!

I have been a practicing massage therapist for 22 years.  While attending Health Options Institute in PA, I became certified in deep muscle and chair massage.  I moved to NC in 2000 and attended Blue Ridge Healing Arts Academy where I met my husband, Brandon. After receiving my National Certification and NC Licenses, Brandon and I decided to
open our own practice.  So here we are at Essential Kneads, enjoying every moment! I really love helping people with chronic pain issues.  It is very rewarding to be able to relieve the pain they are experiencing. Brandon and I now have two beautiful children, a dog and a house! Guess moving back to PA after school didn't work out so well. I feel very lucky to have been given the ability to perform massage therapy and hope that feeling is portrayed during the sessions that I give.

Through the years I continued my massage education to not only grow as a therapist, but provide my clients with the best techniques for their individual complications.
*Pre & Post Natal Massage *Massage Cupping *Myofascial Release *Esomassage *111 Elbow Techniques *Spa Treatments w/o a Wet Room *Ethics *Hot Stone Massage *Indian Head,Face & Foot Massage *Craniosacral Therapy w/Advanced Myofascial Release
While treating a prenatal client I was asked to join her in the delivery room to perform massage while in labor. This was a door that I had never walked through, as I did not have my children at this point, so I knew I needed to educate myself. Thus the world of being a Doula was created for me. (Thanks Jennie!!!) It is truly the greatest feeling to help a family achieve the birthing outcome they are looking for. I have been a certified birth Doula thru DONA (Doulas of North America) for 10 years. This is a passion for me and hope to become more involved with educating women on the choices that they have!
Thank you for taking the time to read my bio and if you have any questions please contact me as I would love to speak with you!
